It’s true that we were both a little less lonely because of the forum’s presence in our lives. 🫂 I could share it here so openly because I’ve felt very very received here. I couldn’t have told anyone either (except you all). It’s so loving to be here. Today, I truly truly see everything that happened in a very different light too. With so much gratitude. Totally agree! My latest: I can’t do lunges 😂 The moment my instructor says lunge time.. i see everything in me freeze. As if i suddenly dont know how to hold a kettlebell. The freeze is so giant, Dave. 😂 I have no clue what possible positive meaning i can assign to this. And ITS NOT FUNNY (it is though 😂) But knowing that this micro paralysis is a neutral prop, I’ve bought into a belief here and its for a positive reason is a very new kind of exploration. I love this thread so much. Thank you Dave for bringing this up. I was able to read the various perspectives and also stay with the question to see what (if anything) emerges from within. Lately, I have felt over and over again that the purpose of anything is finally expansion. The expansion realized by ascribing meanign (positive/negative). The latter might not be a preferable expansion but it is an expansion still. I want to go back to the time my heart broke (very recent). In the process of overcoming, I learnt to ascribe positive meaning to that event and remain in that faith. The very ascribing of positive meaning made me capable of perceiving other depths to the same event. I have met so much expansion because of that. When the rod broke, you couldn’t go where you had planned to go. The leaking coolant in Penny’s car Choosing to experience a broken heart and not being able end up with the person i felt desirous of It was an experience ‘of meeting a situation’ we cocreated with the universe Purpose : expansion through practice in the way we assign meaning Outcome of the meaning assigned: You met a wow moment and more reasons to get in touch with yourself I met more strength in learning that It was beautiful while it lasted and the opportunity to dig the underlying conflicting beliefs deeper. Penny also found opportunities to go within. The broken heart was in and of itself neutral. 😂 (Sub Specie Aeterniatis - Spinoza) We expanded through practice of how we ascribe meaning and realise new realities. With practice we arrive at a level where assigning a positive meaning is an automatic effortless response. over simplification? One confession: The experience didn’t feel neutral at the time. On the surface, it literally felt that i gaslit myself into seeing it as neutral. But i swear all of it was so so so necessary. I see so much positive in everything that happened. Im grateful for it and for this forum that helped me navigate through it. Vaidehi
